In the early stages of economic development, a large proportion of thenational products comes from the agricultural sector.Hence the burden of domestic saving is likely to fall heavily on theagricultural sector. This article examines intersectoral capital flows in the1962-1983 period.Results indicate that the direction of the intersectoral capital flowsin the period have been net outflows from the agricultural setor to the non-farmsetor. Net capital outflows over the whole period amount to about 119 trillionwon at 1998 constant prices.
