For this, first, a number of problems that rural planning has been facing will be examined, and secondly, major contents of the attempt at the reorganization of national land-use planning system and important issues regarding the place of rural planning in this attempt will be explicated. From this discussion, finally, a number of means and ways to strengthen rural planning and its significance will be suggested.
