순병민 Westhoff, Patrick 한석호 Thompson, Wyatt 2020-01-31T16:40:10Z 2020-01-31T16:40:10Z 2019-12-31 JRD42-S-02 http://repository.krei.re.kr/handle/2018.oak/24556 확률 분포에서 무작위 추출된 외생변수를 경제 모형에 대입함으로써 내생변수 값이 산출되는 확률적 모형은 미래의 불확실성을 나타낼 수 있다. 확률적 전망치는 과거 값의 레벨 수준뿐만 아니라 변동성을 기반으로 나타내어져야한다. 본 연구는 과거 변동성을 확률적 전망치에 반영이 될 수 있도록 두 가지 방법을 소개한다. 첫째, 모형 내 수요나 공급 함수의 잔차항 조정을 통해 나타낸다. 둘째, 가격 탄력성 조정을 통해 나타낸다. 본 연구는 한국 쌀 시장 모형을 확률적 모형으로 구축하여 두 가지 방법에 대한 결과를 제시한다. 그 결과, 탄력성 조정이 한국 쌀 시장의 과거 변동성이 미래 전망치에 잘 반영이 되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 가격 탄성치 조정 후 산출된 확률적 전망치를 통해 예상 가능한 농업보조금(AMS) 범위를 나타냈다. 그 결과 농업보조금이 상한액을 넘지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로 본 연구는 전망치의 레벨 수준뿐만 아니라 변동성까지 고려하여 좀 더 현실을 반영될 수 있는 농업전망모형이 될 수 있다는 것을 나타냈다는 점에서 연구적 의의가 있다. Stochastic methods, which random draws on selected exogenous variables of an economic model, generate outcomes for the endogenous variables, are used to capture enough potential outcomes. This stochastic output should reflect historical data in terms of variable levels and variation. Two methods to match historical variation are explored: 1) increasing the variance of error terms of either supply or demand equations causes higher variance in simulated price and quantity, and 2) more elastic demand decreases price variation and increases production variation. A Korean rice market model is used for this stochastic simulation process to test these ideas. The results imply that the elasticities can be used to fit or calibrate model variation to historical variation. The model adjusted by price elasticity provides the possible range of the Aggregate Measurement of Support (AMS). The result shows that there is no possibility of exceeding the total AMS. Our work begins to consider how to improve model performance relating variation, not just levels, thus enabling applied economists using this approach to speak more directly to concerns about market risk and uncertainty. 1.
