용희원 이승호 권오상 2023-04-12T16:40:15Z 2023-04-12T16:40:15Z 2023-03-30 RE46-1-2 https://repository.krei.re.kr/handle/2018.oak/29723 한국 농산물 시장에서는 과일류 중심으로 신품종의 도입이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 신규 과일류는 시장 정착 시 농가에게는 소득을 높여주고, 소비자에게는 선택 대안을 늘려주고 후생을 높여주는 순기능을 한다. 하지만 개발 초기에는 고가에 판매되어 품종 도입을 선도한 농가의 소득이 늘어나지만, 그 시장 점유율이 높아지면 가격이 크게 하락하고, 따라서 후발 농가의 소득에는 큰 도움이 되지 않는 경우도 있다. 본고는 앞으로 개발되어 시장에 진입할 것으로 예상되는 신품종 과일류에 대한 지불의사와 수요탄력성을 추정하여 그 특성을 파악하며, 이를 위해 시장에 도입되지 않은 신품종과 기존 품종 간 선택을 다양한 가격 조건에서 하게 하는 수량 선택실험(volumetric choice experiment: VCE)을 적용하였다. 이 실험에서는 품종의 선택뿐 아니라 그 구매량에 대한 선택도 실시하며, 실험 결과는 0의 구매행위까지 허용하는 다중 이산-연속선택(multiple discrete-continuous extreme value: MDCEV) 소비모형에 반영하여 수요탄력성을 추정한다. 분석 결과 신품종에 대한 지불의사는 상당히 높지만, 수요가 기존 품종에 비하면 상대적으로 비탄력적이라 도입 후 공급 증가 시 가격하락 폭이 클 수 있음을 발견하였다. 또한 가구 소득이 높고 가구원 수가 적을수록, 그리고 여성일수록 신품종 과일에 대한 선호도가 높다는 것도 파악되었다. New fruits are actively developed and provided to the Korean market. Those new goods potentially enhance farm income and increase consumer welfare providing consumption varieties. However, it is often observed that prices of new fruits decline sharply as their market shares increase, and hence, the later technology adopters do not earn profits as much as they expected. One of the reasons could be the relatively low price elasticity of new fruit demands. We estimate the demand elasticities for new fruits with high probabilities of entering the Korean market. We estimate an MDCEV demand system that consists of existing goods and new goods allowing corner solutions. The data were collected via a volumetric choice experiment (VCE) where subjects are asked to choose the items and their purchase amounts simultaneously. Estimation results show that demands for new fruits are less elastic than those for existing fruits. We also estimated the additional willingness to pays (WTPs) for new fruits, and found that higher income and smaller-sized families and female consumers have higher WTPs for new fruits. 1. 서론 2. 수량 선택실험 3.
