용희원 권오상 2023-10-16T16:40:01Z 2023-10-16T16:40:01Z 2023-09-30 RE46-3-4 https://repository.krei.re.kr/handle/2018.oak/30443 농식품분야의 가계 지출 자료를 이용하여 소비행위를 분석할 때에는 자료가 가지는 특성 때문에 몇 가지 고려할 사항이 있는데, 본 연구는 특히 가계 외부적인 가격지수와 구매액을 수량으로 나누어준 단위가치(unit value) 중 무엇을 가격변수로 사용할 것인지의 문제와, 소비의 품질변경(quality shading) 행위를 반영하고 품질선택을 감안해 가격을 조정하는 문제를 검토한다. 또한 단위가치 사용 시 구입액, 수량/중량 관련 정보 중 일부를 누락하여 발생하는 다수의 결측치 문제는 다중치환법(multiple imputation)을 적용해 해결한다. 다중치환된 가구별 과일소비 자료에 1) Deaton의 품질변경 모형, 2) 품질조정가격 사용법, 3) 국가 전체 가격지수 사용법을 적용한 결과 세 가지 접근법 모두 음(-)이면서 대부분의 품목에서 통계적으로 유의한 수요의 자기가격 탄력성을 제시하였다. 그러나 품질변경 모형과 품질조정가격 사용법의 분석 결과가 서로 가까운 반면, 품질 관련 행위를 감안하지 않는 가격지수 사용법은 다소 이질적인 추정 결과를 제시하였다. 따라서 미시 자료 이용 시 가구의 품질 관련 행위를 수요탄력성 추정에 반영할 필요가 있음이 간접적으로 확인되며, 품질변경과 품질선택 행위를 무시할 경우 어느 정도 왜곡된 탄력성 추정치를 얻게 된다는 결론을 내린다. We estimate 13 fruit demand functions using a Korean micro consumption panel data set taking into account consumers’ quality choice behavior, and investigate whether individual household’s unit values are more appropriate than aggregate price indices as the price variables of the demand functions. Three types of demand models are estimated: 1) the one that employs unit values as price variables, dealing with the quality shading issue of Deaton (1988), 2) the one that employs the quality-adjusted prices and requires using both unit values and price indices, and 3) the one that employs price indices without considering the quality choice issues. We filled many missing unit values using a multiple imputation method. Models 1 and 2, taking into account the quality choice behavior of consumers, showed quite similar own price elasticity estimates. Also, Model 1 identified small but statistically significant quality shading phenomena.
