The objective of this study were to analyze livestock farmers' preferenceabout the burden of grade-decision cost in livestock production(beef porkcarcasses), to suggest the level of government subsidy. The data for this studywere obtained from livestock farm survey in the chief producing district.Major findings and policy implication to be drawn from the analysis aresummarized as follows: for hanwoo and pig farmer, according as 1 and A gradejudgment rate is high, the level of burden of grade judgment cost per head ishigh. for hanwoo farmer, according as breeding scale is increasing, the level ofburden of the cost is increasing. But for pig farmer, according as breedingscale is increasing, the level of burden of the cost is decreasing. The level ofgovernment subsidy is about 40% of the cost.
