However real floricultural production in 2001 isexpected to decrease due to depressed consumption expectation as a result of therecent economic slowdown. Among this situations, flower exports has increaseddue to rising exchange rates, developing new sales channels due to sluggishdomestic demand.Korea's floricultural exports is primarily targetedto Japan. Meanwhile China's floricultural industry is growing rapidly as theChinese government is fostering the industry. Therefore, china is expected torise as a competitor in the Japanese market. | - |
