This study has presented a study of linkage structure in the growing
process of Korean agribusiness sector using input-output model in the period of
1985-1995.
A change of agricultural output brings direct and indirect linkage effects on
the other industries.
It is nothing but an example of explain on linkage effect of agribusiness
sector.
An interpretation on the result of analysis can differ in each person. Output
linkage effect of livestock industry and assorted feed industry was high. Value
added linkage effect of agriculture was higher than average.
Since agriculture plays a relatively central role in the Korean economy, to
develop agriculture is important to intensify linkage effect of agriculture and
the other industries.
Therefore, there is a need to utilize domestic resources and effective way of
production. Perhaps future efforts should focus on utilizing agriculture's spare
resources.
