- AbstractThis paper is to estimate theconservation value of wetlands using the contingent valuation method. The paperuses a multiple bounded discrete choice elicitation technique that allowsrespondents to express their level of voting certainty for a wide range ofreferendum thresholds. As a result, respondents answer that they would bedefinitely willing to pay 9,853 Korean won, probably willing to pay 17,427 won,and not sure willing to pay 38,984 won per year per household forconserving the wetlands under this study. The results show that an estimate ofthe aggregated conservation value of the wetlands for all Korean households isapproximately 615 billion won in the "not sure" scenario.1. 문제제기2.
