The aim of this article is to examine the important characteristics of
national land-use planning system and to ponder upon various ways to raise the
level of rationality not only in national land-use planning but also in rural
planning at the very same time.
For this, first, a number of problems that rural planning has been facing
will be examined, and secondly, major contents of the attempt at the
reorganization of national land-use planning system and important issues
regarding the place of rural planning in this attempt will be explicated. From
this discussion, finally, a number of means and ways to strengthen rural
planning and its significance will be suggested.
