- Abstract
This paper provides a result of the
OECD Workshop on Organic Agriculture held on September 23-26, 2002 in Washington
D.C., USA. The focus of the workshop was to analyze the economic, environmental
and social impacts of organic agriculture in relation to conventional farming
system. In the OECD countries, market forces largely derive the development of
the organic sector but a number of countries, mostly in EU, offer financial
incentives to farmers to convert to, and continue in, organic production on the
basis that some environmental benefits are not captured in the market. The
workshop result could contribute to the development of the policy programs on
Korean organic agriculture.

Abstract
This paper provides a result of
