노지 원예농업의 스마트화 실태와 과제

Abstract

이 연구는 이제 첫걸음을 뗀 노지 스마트농업의 실태를 진단하고 개선을 위한 과제를 제시하기 위해 추진되었다. 현시점에서 노지에서 스마트농업이 필요한 이유를 기후변화, 노동인력, 소비의 관점에서 다시 짚었으며, 농가, 기업, 시범사업에 대한 설문조사와 현장조사를 실시하였고, 데이터, 정보, 솔루션, 성과평가 및 환류로 이어지는 프로세스를 점검하였다. 본 연구의 결론은 ‘노지 스마트농업’이란 말보다 ‘노지농업을 스마트하게’라는 표현이 더 적합하다는 것, 스마트농업은 ‘목적’이 아닌 ‘수단’이어야 한다는 것, 노지농업의 스마트화를 위해서는 지금보다 더 통합적·단계적·차별적·순환적 전략을 취해야 한다는 것으로 정리할 수 있다.

Purpose of Research ○Historically, smart agriculture has predominantly been influenced by the practices of factory farming. Although facility farming is relatively free from technological limitations and has fostered an advantageous environment for enhancing productivity, this singular approach is insufficient to resolve the systemic challenges confronting agriculture, including climate change and labor shortages. Specifically, the advancement of smart practices in open field agriculture, which constitutes a substantial segment of Korea’s agricultural sector, is imperative for augmenting productivity and ensuring sustainability. This study seeks to evaluate the current state of smartization in open field horticulture and to pinpoint critical areas for enhancement, including the expansion of farmer engagement, nationwide dissemination, the bolstering of the private sector’s role, and the optimization of data usage.
