반려동물 연관산업 수출 활성화 방안

Abstract

반려동물을 가족처럼 여기는 인식 확산과 1인 가구 및 국민소득이 증가하면서 현재 우리나라 반려동물 양육가구수는 점차 증가하고 있는 상황이며, 그에 따른 반려동물 연관산업도 급속히 발달하고 있다. 우리나라 반려동물 연관산업 중 우수한 품질 경쟁력과 가격 경쟁력을 가지고 있는 품목군은 한정된 내수시장에서 벗어나 해외시장 진출을 노력하고 있으나, 국가마다 상이한 수입 및 인증 절차, 검역 조건 및 유통 네트워크 확보 난항으로 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이에 반려동물 연관산업 활성화 및 수출진작을 위한 정책이 시행 중이나, 수출 활성화에 보다 효율적인 정책 수립을 위해서는 반려동물 연관산업 기업의 수출 저해 요인을 발굴하고 기업의 정책 수요를 면밀하게 파악하는 것이 매우 중요하다.

본 연구는 반려동물 연관산업 기업을 대상으로 해외 수출을 저해하는 요인을 분석하고 이에 대한 대응 방안을 마련하여 수출을 활성화하기 위한 정책과제를 제안하기 위해 추진되었다. 이를 위해 반려동물 연관산업 수출 지원 관련 국내외 정책을 분석하고 반려동물 연관산업 기업을 대상으로 정책 수요를 파악함으로써 현장 중심적인 정책과제를 도출하고자 노력하였다.

Background and purpose ○The companion animal-related industry comprises a diverse set of industries, each at a different stage of development. Therefore, stimulating exports requires tailored strategies tailored to each sector. Therefore, this study analyzes the current status of the domestic and international companion animal-related industry, identifies challenges faced by exporters in each sector, and identifies the aspirations of companies not currently exporting. This analysis, in turn, proposes measures to boost exports in the companion animal-related industry.

○To this end, we first analyze the current status of domestic and foreign companion animal-related industries and export-related policies. Second, problems and difficulties are collected through surveys and case studies of companies in companion animal-related industries, and third, policies to promote exports of companion animal-related industries are presented in terms of establishing laws and systems, building infrastructure, and securing industrial competitiveness.
