사회적 농업에서 세대 간 상호작용이 여성 노인의 삶에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 사회적 농업에서 세대 간 상호작용이 농촌 지역 여성 노인의 자기효능감과 삶의 질 향상에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 연구 참여자는 강원특별자치도 횡성군에 거주하는 69~80세 여성 노인 4명으로, 이들은 14회에 걸쳐 아동과 함께하는 농업 활동에 참여하였다. 연구자는 이들의 경험을 심층적으로 분석하기 위해 Giorgi의 방법론을 활용하여, 연구 참여자의 경험을 반성적 글쓰기 및 심층 인터뷰를 통해 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 사회적 농업에서의 세대 간 상호작용은 여성 노인들의 자기효능감을 향상하고, 자아존중감과 새로운 정체성을 형성하는 데 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 연구 참여자들은 사회적 농업 활동과 아동과의 교류를 통해 자기효능감이 향상되었으며, 정서적 안정과 삶의 만족도가 높아지는 경험을 하였다. 본 연구는 사회적 농업이 노인 복지 및 지역사회 통합의 효과적인 수단임을 강조하며, 세대 간 교류를 반영한 정책 개발이 필요함을 시사한다.

This study explores how intergenerational interactions in social farming influence the self-efficacy and quality of life of elderly women in rural areas. The participants engaged in 14 agricultural sessions with children in a rural South Korean community. Using qualitative research methods, including in-depth interviews and reflective writing, the study applied Giorgi’s phenomenological approach to analyze participants’ experiences. The findings indicate that intergenerational interactions played a crucial role in enhancing self-efficacy, strengthening social relationships, and providing a renewed sense of purpose. Participants reported increased confidence and emotional fulfillment resulting from mentoring and guiding children. This study highlights the potential of social farming as a community-based intervention to reduce social isolation and promote well-being among elderly individuals. These results suggest that incorporating intergenerational interactions into social farming programs can create meaningful opportunities for elderly women to remain active in their communities and experience personal growth.
